City extended their lead in the Premier League title race to two points.

With a resounding 4-0 victory over Fulham, Manchester City extended their lead in the Premier League title race to two points.

With a 4-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday in London, Manchester City established their dominance in the Premier League title fight. Joao Cancelo doubled his own goal total, adding to his surprising total of goals at the end of the season.

With two more wins—at Tottenham on Tuesday and at home against West Ham on May 19—City will have won the English Premier League for the fourth time in as many years. Their current winning streak in all competitions now stands at 33 games.

In the 13th minute, Cancelo, who was positioned as an attacking left-back but was out of position, exchanged a goal with Kevin De Bruyne before scoring with his right foot. In the 71st minute, he added to the lead by dribbling on Bernardo Silva’s cross from above the line.

With this, the Croatian international has scored five goals in his past seven games. In his 32 prior games for City, he had not scored a single goal.

In the 59th minute, Phil Foden finished off the post to score his 17th league goal of the season amid Cancelo’s onslaught.

In the sixth minute of stoppage time, Julian Alvarez scored his fourth goal from the penalty spot after Issa Diop fouled him and was given a second yellow card for the challenge.

With two games remaining, starting on Sunday against Manchester United, Arsenal trails City by two points.
