The trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s most recent thriller, “Trap,” which stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, and Saleka Shyamalan, was released by Warner Bros. on Thursday. Hartnett will play a serial killer during a pop star’s concert in the upcoming movie.

‘Trap’, according to the logline, is about a father and his teenage daughter who discover they are in the middle of a dark and horrific event while attending a pop concert. Warner Bros. debuted the trailer on social media on Thursday after revealing the first glimpse of the movie at this year’s CinemaCon.

In the teaser, Donoghue’s Jodie and Hartnett’s character are shown together at a pop diva Lady Raven’s (Shyamalan’s daughter and R&B singer Saleka) music event. Hartnett runs across some federal officials while using the restroom. They are looking for a serial killer known as a “butcher” who “keeps cutting people.

“Trap,” which debuted in theaters in August 2023, is Shyamalan’s first feature film after switching from Universal to Warner Bros.

My home is where I write and direct, Shyamalan remarked at the change. “The studios where I have created the majority of my films, Disney and Universal, will always be my home and family. Hollywood has a long history with Warner Bros. The firm is rediscovering its love and enthusiasm for filmmakers and the power of theatrical experiences as a result of their recent experiences. When movies do well in theaters, everyone benefits. I think Pam Abdy, Michael De Luca, and David Zaslav have made a commitment to being world-class directors and packing theaters for years to come.
