Fan appreciation with a beer gulp from a Bruins legend

Although the Bruins lost Game 3, it was a fantastic game. The Boston Bruins lost Game 3 of their series with the Florida Panthers, 6-2 in the end. It was hard to be optimistic about the Bruins’ lead in Game 4 when things weren’t going well for them.

Although we are quickly approaching a dark period in this series, Game 3 was an incredible experience. Andrew Ference, a respected banner captain and former Bruins defenseman, did not let anyone down. With 2:21 remaining in the second frame, Ference’s beer gulp fired up the Bruins fan base. He then gave his Bruins tattoo a kiss, which energised the audience even more.

Ference’s unwavering playing style from his Bruins days undoubtedly cheered up the crowd. Seeing him energize the crowd and the Bruins at TD Garden was pleasant. Regretfully, the Bruins played a horrible clunker in this game, thus the beer chug was sadly one of the few highlights.

During his seven seasons with the Bruins, Ference had 94 points, scored 16 goals, and had a plus-24 rating. He certainly had a hand in helping the Bruins return to Boston with the Stanley Cup in 2011.
