Nicki Minaj was freed following her arrest in the Netherlands on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.

Shortly after being taken into custody by Dutch authorities on charges of smuggling soft narcotics, Nicki Minaj was freed from detention on Saturday.

According to a translated post on X shortly before 4 PM ET, the rapper was punished and given permission to “continue her journey,” according to the authorities.

The 41-year-old Minaj, whose true name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, was allegedly arrested while on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” and traveling from Amsterdam to Manchester, England for a show. Minaj was scheduled to perform on Saturday night at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, but the event has been postponed, according to a Live Nation UK update.

According to the firm, “Today’s events have made it impossible to hold tonight’s show, despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue.” We regret greatly the trouble that has been caused.”

Additionally, they stated that the concert’s rescheduled tickets would still be valid.

The person who was detained was not given a name by the police. A representative did, however, acknowledge that officials had detained a 41-year-old American lady at Schiphol Airport for the possession of soft drugs when questioned if it was Minaj.

Minaj said she had arrived at her Manchester hotel a little over an hour ago in a social media post made early on Sunday local time. She wrote, “My plane couldn’t take off for another 20 minutes after sitting in a jail cell for five or six hours and taking a 50-minute flight from Amsterdam.”

Minaj wrote, “Please accept my sincere and deepest apologies.” “They were very skilled at hurting me today, but this will pass.

The rapper said she and her crew were thinking about a June or July date and that she hoped to disclose the new date for Saturday’s event on Sunday.

She affirmed that she would still play the second show on Thursday in Manchester and Sunday in Birmingham.

I’ll not only figure out a way to move the date, but I’m also going to make an extra bonus for everyone who bought tickets to this show, Minaj continued. I swear.

Minaj had posted many updates on the event on social media earlier on Saturday.

The rapper is heard saying that her possessions needed to be examined in a video that was posted on X.

I’m sorry to tell you this, an airport official said to her.

However, wasn’t this always your intention? Why didn’t you check it out before the flight? She answered.

Although they performed a “random quick check,” the official claimed they still had to open her luggage.

Subsequently, Minaj said on social media that people were lying to her and trying to “stop this tour”.

When I questioned where my luggage was, they replied it was on the plane. They had taken it. She remarked, “It couldn’t be; I just pulled up.” I never handed my bag to them. I’m not allowed to see my bag, they say.

In a different post, she stated: Many individuals are upset that my tour is so successful and they are unable to handle it, so they are being paid a lot of money to attempt to ruin it. They were apprehended pilfering money from my travel/jet. Terminated. become irrational. etc.

Additionally she said this is how they pack your bag.

Minaj stated that she would hire attorneys and let God handle things in her Sunday social media post, adding that she had video proof of the incident.

Minaj recorded the police telling her to get into a van and be driven to the police station during an Instagram Live session. The rapper stated in a post on X that she was informed she needed to travel five minutes to the police compound in order to provide a statement on my security.
