As soon as Pérez closed, Magnussen was inside.

Pérez’s car collided forcefully with the wall, collecting Nico Hülkenberg, Magnussen’s teammate, as it rebounded back onto the racetrack.

Both of Haas’s cars were too damaged to continue, and Pérez’s was severely damaged.

Although the incident was noted, the officials made it clear that there would be no more investigation just before things got back to normal.
Given that Magnussen is currently only two penalty points away from a racial ban, that choice may prove contentious.

It was a crazy beginning. Shortly after starting the climb, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was forced to stop due to a front-left puncture on the circuit.

Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, colleagues at Alpine, clashed a few corners into the tunnel portion.

Starting from a standing grid, the race will resume as though it had never ended.

Because of the time of the red light, Sainz will continue the race from third position despite moving down and falling back.
