According to reports, he could surface in 14–20 days given his weight and height in these conditions, Drake stated. “Since today is the fourteenth day, we sincerely hope to locate him shortly. Yes, our teams were searching all the way to the bottom in the water here. Regretfully, we were in the proper place. Nothing in this suggests foul play of any kind.”
Due to the tremendous media and national attention that Strain’s disappearance generated, numerous erroneous rumors regarding his death and disappearance were spread. After a TikToker discovered Strain’s bank card on the Cumberland River’s banks, rumors intensified even further.
Officials emphasized right once that there was no proof to back up allegations of foul play. According to Sergeant Robert Nelson, there were allegations of improper behavior in this case due to alleged mishandling inside the police department, but an inquiry was not carried out.
After being taken out of a bar, Strain was seen staggering and falling in videos that were made public by law enforcement and businesses. To find out if he was given alcohol the night he vanished, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission has opened an investigation. According to Luke’s 32 Bridge, Strain was only given one alcoholic beverage and two glasses of water when he was at the pub.
To ascertain where and whether he was offered alcohol that evening, TABC has been collaborating with the local law enforcement. A TABC representative stated, “All licensed establishments contacted for questioning have been cooperative.” “Once the investigation is concluded, a final report will be made public.”
According to Drake, Strain’s family has been informed of his progress.
