There was a lot of excitement leading up to Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Torched Poets Department,” which was released at midnight EDT. However, everyone was taken aback when the pop icon revealed that it’s actually a double album.
Swift posted on Instagram after Part One was released, saying, “In love and poetry, everything is fair. The Torched Poets Department, a new album, is currently available 🤍. There are seventeen tracks on it.
Then, the shocking revelation was made via an Instagram post: “‘The Torched Poets Department’ is a covert double album. ✌️. The surprise of two in the morning.” Here’s part two of the many tormented poems I’ve written over the last two years that I want to share with you: After fifteen more songs, the story is all yours and not mine.”
Swift revealed on social media a few hours before to the release that the first song, “Fortnight,” starring Post Malone, had been published along with the music video.
