The Oilers’ song is used against them by the Dallas Stars

It wasn’t because they won the game that the Edmonton Oilers found themselves listening to a well-known tune.

Edmonton: People can exhibit both their finest and worst sides during the Stanley Cup finals.

The Edmonton Oilers gave it their all in the lengthy game Wednesday night, particularly in the opening frame. They were deadlocked 1-1 at the end of the first quarter, but they controlled the shot clock (16–4). After the first session, the goal scorers were Jamie Benn and Connor Brown.

The Dallas Stars took the lead with 21 shots in the last two frames of the hockey game, while the Oilers were only able to muster 13 shots in the remaining minutes. They ultimately prevailed 3–1.

The Stars made an intriguing decision about the music played following the home team’s victory, even though the Oilers lost the game. The music director at the Stars’ home arena, the American Airlines Center, made the decision to play “La Bamba” following their team’s victory over the Oilers.

This level of rivalry between playoff teams is acceptable in my opinion because it is innocuous and causes no harm to either players or fans. There might be a few ego bumps here and there, but nothing noteworthy.

Whether any Oilers players heard the song being played is unknown at this moment, but if they did, they will undoubtedly be motivated to hear it played for a different purpose in the upcoming game.
