This is the day of the 2024 complete solar eclipse! What you should know is as follows.
We’ve all been waiting for this day! Finally, 2024’s total solar eclipse will occur.
The total solar eclipse that will occur today, April 8, will cover 15 American states as well as Canada, extending from Mexico to Northern America. During the moon’s total eclipse, viewers will see our star’s secret outer atmosphere emerge from the darkness of the sky and the moon fully cover the sun.

When the moon completely obscures the sun and the earth, a total solar eclipse takes place, leaving a shadow on Earth. When viewed from the path of totality, it seems nearly the same size as our sun and fully obscures the sun’s visible disk.
